We will talk about how algorithms ensure the efficiency of the marketplace within Yandex Go. We’ll discuss how they help passengers save time and enable drivers to earn more.

This talk covers the complete lifecycle of large systems through real examples from companies like Google and Yandex: From initial design and architecture, scaling issues, through production incidents, to becoming the legacy system someone else inherits. We’ll explore why thinking deeply before coding matters more than ever when your decisions could haunt someone for years

We will talk about how machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) are used in Yandex’s Urban Services, using Yandex Lavka as an example. We’ll look at exactly where these technologies are applied — from demand forecasting to recommendations in the customer app — and what real benefits they provide to the business and to users
